Answer to Question 1

ANS: B
Most commercially available CO-oximeters provide measurements of only four types of hemo-globin: O2Hb, deoxyhemoglobin, metHb, and HbCO. Sulfhemoglobin and fetal hemoglobin are not usually determined by means of CO-oximetry.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: B
O2Hb and deoxygenated hemoglobin (HHb) are differentiated by shining a light with 660-nm and 940-nm wavelengths through the sampling site.
