Answer to Question 1

C
The injectable drug palivizumab is given to high-risk babies to help prevent an RSV infection. Ribavirin is only given if the patient has an RSV infection. Corticosteroid and sympathomimetic drugs do not prevent an RSV infection.

Answer to Question 2

A
RV will be decreased rather than increased. Because advanced fungal pneumonia causes a restrictive lung disease pattern, volumes and capacities will be decreased.
