Answer to Question 1

C
The hyaline membrane containing fibrin and cellular debris is the same in RDS and ARDS. Bacterial pneumonia, pulmonary fibrosis, and MAS will have other types of pulmonary changes.

Answer to Question 2

C
The duplex venous ultrasonography test is very accurate for diagnosing a blood clot behind the knee or thigh. It is not useful for any of the other listed options. Other tests would be needed.
