Answer to Question 1

A
PPHN results in increased pulmonary vascular resistance. This will increase right ventricular afterload and can result in cardiomegaly.

Answer to Question 2

C
A CT scan of the lungs will provide very detailed images of the damaged areas. Although a radiograph of the chest or bronchogram will provide valuable information, the CT scan is the best method available.
