To promote a return to healthy activities and to use recreation as
a tool to improve the patient's physical, mental, and social
well-being.

Answer to Question 2

Because health care is continually changing, and the nursing
assistant must be prepared to provide adequate care as patient
needs and procedures change. Continuing competence is
important throughout a health care career.
