Answer to Question 1

B

Answer to Question 2

D
Feedback:
Many communities offer halfway houses for mentally ill and/or chemically dependent clients. This provides a buffer between the inpatient facility and the community. The client lives there for a short time after discharge, making readjustment into the community less traumatic. Healthcare providers treat the underlying causes of mental illness. Some states have adult foster care programs for clients with mental illness. These homes provide housing, often for an extended time. Sheltered workshops provide an entry into the working world.

Heroin has a slight affinity for opiate receptors. Most of its actions are due to metabolism to active metabolites (6-acetylmorphine, morphine, and morphine-6-glucuronide).
