Answer to Question 2

A, E
Feedback:
The moderately cognitively impaired child is unable to function independently and achieves a maximum mental age of 3 to 7 years. The child who has borderline intellectual impairment is usually able to function independently with the assistance of special education. Those who are mildly impaired with higher functioning may develop reading skills at a fifth- or sixth-grade level. The child who is severely impaired requires a great deal of assistance with ADL but can conform to daily routines and repetitive activities. Language development is minimal. The profoundly impaired child requires complete assistance with all aspects of daily life.
