Nursing care with Cushing's syndrome is primarily symptomatic and includes checking electrolyte and glucose levels regularly for changes. Replacing fluids and adding sodium to the diet is an intervention for Addison's disease. Teaching the client to limit carbohydrates is a nursing consideration for diabetes and administering sedatives or anticonvulsants may be necessary in the acute phase of hypoparathyroidism (to prevent seizures).
