Answer to Question 1

A
Feedback:
The nurse should be aware that the excruciating neuralgic pain might be triggered by the slightest touch of the trigger zones. The nurse should be aware that this pain occurs in spasms that can last for seconds to hours and not days to weeks. Trigeminal neuralgic pain occurs commonly in the jaw and parts of the face and not in the upper extremities and trunk. The nurse should be aware that surgical removal of a partial nerve root eliminates the pain permanently and not temporarily.

Answer to Question 2

A
Feedback:
A transparent dressing is used to prevent skin breakdown caused by friction. Gel-foam packing is done for a wound with a draining sinus tract. Sterile padding is used to prevent pressure ulcers. Dry sterile dressings are mostly used for clean wounds, such as surgical incisions, that heal by primary intention.
