Answer to Question 1

D

Answer to Question 2

A
Feedback:
Subacute-care facilities provide an in-between level of care. The person designated as a subacute client may just need one treatment classified as a skilled nursing care procedure. The rest of that client's care does not require nursing at this level. (A person may be classified as subacute for a specific number of days under Medicare regulations; after that time, the person's status is reevaluated.) Generally, clients remain in subacute-care facilities for 1 to 4 weeks. Surgery would be performed in a hospital; a client with Alzheimer's disease and end-stage cancer would most likely be placed in a skilled nursing care facility.
