Answer to Question 1

C
Feedback:
The nurse should use medicated bath oil instead of soap because soap has drying effects that can aggravate pruritus. The whirlpool is therapeutic because it increases circulation, removes dead skin cells, and promotes healing. The nurse should also use tepid water (not hotter than 100F/30C), because a very hot bath aggravates pruritus, and should pat the client's skin dry after the therapeutic bath because rubbing increases irritation or pruritus.

Answer to Question 2

B
Feedback:
1 kg = 2.2 lb. The nurse would multiply kilograms by 2.2 to determine pounds. In this case, 75  2.2 = 165 lb.
