Interdependent actions are those that are perform collaboratively with other care providers; the physician may write orders for some of these actions. These actions are interventions for collaborative problems. Independent actions are nursing actions that do not require a physician's orders. Independent actions are those actions taken to assist the client with activities of daily living or to help reduce stress.
