Answer to Question 1

A
Feedback:
Enlargement of the adenoids can cause snoring or obstruction of the upper airway. During the act of swallowing, the soft palate and uvula elevate to block the nasal cavity, preventing food from entering the respiratory system. The auditory (Eustachian) tubes connect the nasopharynx with the middle ear.

Answer to Question 2

B
Feedback:
The nurse can ask the family members to get food for the client to ensure that the client receives food per his kosher laws. Asking the client to have frozen meals, vegetarian food, or only fruit are not appropriate options.
