Answer to Question 1

ANS: 2
This is an example of unethical behavior. The LPN is required to administer medication with accuracy. She is also lacking in honesty when she charted a blood pressure she did not take. Finally, she is putting the patient at risk. Perhaps the patient's blood pressure reading is such that the medication should be withheld and the doctor notified.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: 1
Using this type of thinking, the nurse does follow personal values and recognizes personal values of all involved. The nurse does not trust gut reaction but follows the steps for ethical reasoning.
