When an exam is complete, which should be done first as the patient gets down from the imaging table?
 
 have the patient take a few moments to sit up on the x-ray table before standing
  position the footstool
  assisting the patient up to an immediate upright position
  assist the patient on the step down from the table

How much rotation is required for an AP oblique mortise ankle?
 
 30 degrees medial
  45 degrees lateral
  45 degrees medial
  15-20 degrees medial

have the patient take a few moments to sit up on the x-ray table before standing

Rationale: Once the patient is sitting up from a recumbent position, encourage them to take a few moments to regain their bearings before stepping down from the table. This will help to avoid falls.

Answer to Question 2

15-20 degrees medial

Rationale: An AP oblique mortise position requires the leg and foot to be medially rotated 15-20 degrees or until the intermalleolar line is parallel to the plane of the image receptor.
