The thymus gland lies on the pericardium in the anterior mediastinum from its origin in the cervical region around the trachea. The two lobes are separated from the arch of the aorta and great vessels by a layer of fascia.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: D
The right lung, with three lobes and an oblique fissure and a straighter bronchus, is larger than the left lung, which has two lobes and an angled bronchus.
