An anterior colporrhaphy or Kelly procedure restores the herniation of the bladder into the vaginal canal. This relieves stress incontinence with coughing, sneezing, or laughing. It can also prevent voiding difficulty and urine retention.

A procedure to remove a cyst may be scheduled as an oophorocystectomy or ovarian cystectomy. The cysts may be removed and preservation of the ovary is the goal. If the ovary is removed it is referred to as an oophorectomy.
