ANS: F
A dispersive pad (return electrode) is not needed with bipolar electrosurgery because current flows only between the tips of the forceps and returns directly to the generator. Current does not disperse itself throughout the patient as it does in monopolar electrosurgery.

ANS: F
Nonreflective instruments made of blue titanium alloy or anodized steel should be used because the finish will defocus and disperse the laser beam. Reflective instruments can cause burns or start a fire.
