B

Answer to Question 2

New technology such as instant messaging, email, chat rooms, online games, message boards, and video games allows for more communication among friends and peers. Positive online feedback may produce positive self-esteem. Computer and video game interaction may enhance cooperation and communication skills, encourage children to work out compromises and develop trust in others. These activities also encourage children to take the other's perspective and reward social and cooperative behavior. Both parents and teachers should monitor children's technology use for abuses but also recognize their social advantages as mentioned previously.
