Answer to Question 1

C

Answer to Question 2

Each parenting style should be mentioned (authoritative, authoritarian, permissive, uninvolved) as well as where they stand on the two dimensions of warmth and control. The authoritative parenting style should be suggested to the parenting class because of its positive developmental outcomes (school achievement, high self-esteem, less depression and anxiety, less problem behavior). The response must also recognize that in some circumstances (e.g. dangerous neighborhoods) other types of parenting styles (e.g., authoritarian) may be more successful.
