Answer to Question 1

A
Partial hospitalization would provide the services the client needs and would give supervision and
meals to the client while her daughter is at work. Home care would not provide socialization. The
nursing home could not as easily provide the necessary teaching. A halfway house provides 24-hour
care and usually expects involvement in off-campus programs.

Answer to Question 2

C
Naltrexone (ReVia) is useful for treating both opioid and alcohol addiction. An opioid antagonist, it
blocks the action of opioids and because it blocks the mechanism of reinforcement; it also reduces or
eliminates alcohol preference.
