A married woman, who is the mother of two children, has been in an abusive relationship for 4 years. She decides to leave her husband after suffering an episode of severe physical abuse.
 
  She and her children, ages 7 and 9, arrive at a crisis intervention center. What is the nurse's priority intervention? a. Offer immediate emotional support.
