Answer to Question 1

ANS: 1
Option 1 suggests that the client may be promiscuous because she speaks of sex with men rather than one partner. Promiscuity places the client at increased risk for rape, other violence, and sex-ually transmitted diseases. The other options provide opportunities for teaching but are not as high priority for discussion as option 1.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: 2
The client's bleeding requires immediate attention; thus it is more important to call a gynecologist than a psychiatrist. A client who wears a burka would be more comfortable being examined by a woman, and undoubtedly the husband would prefer this option also. The husband's culture will require that he remain in the room with his wife while she is attended by strangers. Option 4: an interpreter would be necessary only if the nurse determined that the one or both parties did not comprehend English.
