Joan Mills is in charge of a typing pool. She is always at her desk and ready to go to work at
  8:00 A.M., and she never leaves before 5:00 P.M. The people who work for her have
  noticed this pattern, and they model their attendance behavior after Joans. Joans actions
  are part of the leader role as defined by Mintzberg.
