Answer to Question 1

Plants need to appear healthy so they will sell well. With a large number of plants in a shop having slightly different watering requirements, they need to be checked often. Some plants in decorative containers do not drain well, causing roots to rot quickly, while others are not watered enough, causing the leaves to turn light green and appear unhealthy.

Answer to Question 2

Early brain development is important because the brain controls the functioning of all of the other organs and systems, including the processes that cause the animal to grow. If the brain doesn't grow, the rest of the body cannot develop.
