Animal rights activists believe that animals should have the same rights as humans and be free to live their lives without human interference. They also believe it is wrong to kill an animal for food or to obtain animal skins for clothing or any other purpose. Animal welfare activists believe it is moral to raise animals for human use if the animals are not abused or mistreated in any way. They feel animals should be made comfortable and happy while they are alive.
