The term display duration gives insight into the notion that plant groupings are living displays. The
goal of keeping plants in the interior is general, but very important: to provide beauty. Plant aesthetics
is paramount. The interior plantscaper is a horticultural display designer, a human interface between
the outdoor world and the great indoors.
