Answer to Question 1

The hardiness of a plant is affected by the intensity and duration of sunlight, length of the growing
season, minimum winter temperatures, annual precipitation, summer droughts, and humidity.



Answer to Question 2

When planning the location for planting trees and shrubs, many factors should be given consideration,
including flower color, fruit size and type, other structures in the area, and ornamental characteristics
of the plant.
