The meat supplied food; skins were used for shelter and clothing; oil from animal fat kept firearms usable and
provided light in cabins.



Answer to Question 2

A forestry technician needs at least a high school diploma. Most beginning technicians have completed one-year
or two-year postsecondary training programs. There is no particular educational requirement for a job as a logger,
although equipment operators may need specialized training for their machinery
