Answer to Question 1

The supply of soybeans for other uses has the potential to decrease. As a result, as
the supply decreases and demand stays constant the cost of soybeans for nonbiofuel
use can rise. This will lead to price increases in products made from
soybeans.

Answer to Question 2

Soybean meal is often incorporated into feed for animals. From farm animals to
aquaculture to pet food soybeans provide protein that is needed in the diets of all
animals. The hull can be composted and used as mulch. Some research is being
conducted to determine if there is enough fiber in the hull for it to be used as a feed
additive.
