Answer to Question 1

Substances in which plants are grown are called media.

Answer to Question 2

Air layering is an asexual propagation method. The stem of a plant is peeled all the way
around, a rooting hormone is painted on the wound, and the area is then wrapped in
damp media and covered with plastic. The new plant is allowed to form roots while still
getting water from the parent plant
