Answer to Question 1

Floriculture is a big business in the United States and the world because people buy
flowers for weddings, funerals, anniversaries, birthdays, and other special occasions

Answer to Question 2

Cold temperatures will keep many plants from forming buds at all. High temperatures
may cause them to abort buds and blooms. Plants can get too much rain, and hard rain
can destroy fragile blooms. Windstorms can also damage plants.
