Answer to Question 1

Implement grazing systems that will create and/or maintain good trout habitat. Avoiding grazing riparian areas in the spring and summer months is particularly critical; Fence easily damaged and important trout streams; Use salt and water developments to attract livestock away from the riparian zones.

Answer to Question 2

Accelerated erosion occurs when human activities destroy the vegetation cover that retards soil loss from the forces of water and wind.
