Rationale:
Medications that are Pregnancy Category X drugs will be present in male sperm and can damage the fetus. Not touching the medication is important, but it is still contained in the sperm, and will damage the fetus. It is inappropriate to tell a client that his wife cannot become pregnant; all he needs to do is stop the medication. The nurse can answer this question; it does not need to be referred to the physician.
