An important replication study would be to restudy the ability of this age group to care for itself so that cost-effective measures can be instituted to provide care for this expanding group. Effectiveness of supplies on cost is usually an ongoing project conducted in most hospitals as health care costs increase. Studying a family's ability to adapt to acute health problems is not a demographic issue. New technology is not a demographic issue.
