Answer to Question 1

A
There are 14 Forces of Magnetism, which include organizational structure, management style, quality of leadership, personnel policies and programs, professional models of care, quality of care, quality improvement, consultation and resources, autonomy, community and the hospital, nurses as teachers, image of nurses, interdisciplinary relationships, and professional development.

Answer to Question 2

D
Typical analysis methods for problem solving involve a dissection of the problem into individual components, to search for a cause. The disadvantage with using this approach is that the focus on a narrow view of the problem can result in implementation of a corrective action which may not be effective. A better process may be in using system thinking which is problem solving by looking at the bigger picture.
