Answer to Question 1

D
Sensory overload is a state of excessive and sustained multisensory stimulation manifested by behavior changes and perceptual distortion. Contributing factors include pain, busy environments, invasive procedures, medications, presence of strangers, and diseases that affect the central nervous system.

Answer to Question 2

A
Sensation, perception, and cognition provide people with information about the world around them. These neurological functions use the five senses: hearing, vision, taste, smell, and touch. When any one sense does not function properly, the person receives inaccurate information about his or her surroundings and experiences a sensory deficit.
