Answer to Question 1

A
Digoxin (Lanoxin) is the drug most often used to improve the heart's contractibility and increase its output.

Answer to Question 2

D
Polycystic kidney disease may be inherited or acquired. Multiple grapelike clusters of fluid-filled cysts develop in the kidney. They compress and eventually replace kidney tissue. Acquired cystic kidney disease is associated with dialysis and end-stage renal disease. The major goal in the medical management is the preservation of kidney function.
