Answer to Question 1

D
Engorgement of the breasts occurs at day 3 or 4 . If the breasts are not emptied, the engorgement will spontaneously disappear and discomfort will decrease in 24 to 48 hours. This is a result of vasocongestion of breast tissues as milk production begins or let down occurs.

Answer to Question 2

C
Deeper injection of a local anesthetic directed toward a specific nerve or nerves produces a nerve block. The nerve block is named for the specific nerve(s) being blocked (e.g., brachial plexus block); its effect may last from 1 to 12 hours. Local anesthetic toxicity is an infrequent complication of nerve blocks.
