Answer to Question 1

C
Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) is the result of bacterial infection of the fallopian tubes, ovaries, or vascular or supporting structures within the pelvis. Risk factors include multiple sexual partners; frequent, unprotected intercourse; intrauterine contraceptive devices; and childbirth. Manifestations of PID include pelvic or abdominal pain, low-grade fever, backache, foul-smelling vaginal discharge, nausea, vomiting, dysmenorrhea, and dyspareunia.

Answer to Question 2

A
Feedback:
Clients who are certified by a physician as having less than 6 months to live are eligible for hospice care. If a client survives beyond 6 months, he or she continues to receive care as long as the physician certifies that the client continues to meet hospice criteria. Clients with limited or no support from family and friends or those requiring high-tech palliative care are not necessarily placed in hospice care. Clients who cannot live independently are referred to residential care.
