Answer to Question 1

B
It is not too late for an older person to begin an exercise program; however, older adults need to have a complete physical examination, which usually includes a stress cardiogram or stress test. Assessment of activity tolerance will help you and the patient plan a program that meets physical needs while allowing for physical impairments. Most older adults are capable of taking charge of their lives and assume responsibility for preventing disability.

Answer to Question 2

D
In Maslow's hierarchy of needs, the third level on the hierarchy is love and belongingness, which is a desire to belong to groups. It consists of the need to feel love by others and to be accepted. The highest level of needs on the hierarchy is self-actualization, which is the desire to become everything that one is capable of becoming. The lowest level of needs on the hierarchy consists of very basic physiological needs such as oxygen, water, food, sleep, and sex.
