Alcohol should also be avoided, because you don't want to take the test feeling hung over. The best thing is to have a nice relaxing evening with friends and get plenty of sleep before taking the test, so you awaken feeling refreshed. Avoid cramming the night before the test, because it actually works against you, and is more likely to cause confusion.
