The nurse is caring for a post-operative client who has undergone a gastric resection. The client is complaining of dizziness, and tingling of the fingers. The client is currently NPO, with an NG tube to low intermittent suction.
 
  The following are appropriate nursing actions for this client: 1. Change suction to high intermittent
  2. Administer sedatives
  3. Irrigate the NG tube with tap water
  4. Discontinue NG suctioning
