Answer to Question 1

3
Rationale: The 7-year-old is industrious, and likes to make things or build things. Suggesting a project that the child can work on quietly over time is the best activity. Picture books are a little young for this child, as is a stuffed animal, and these do not appeal to the developmental task of a 7-year-old. Having friends over would be more appropriate for an adolescent.

Answer to Question 2

2
Rationale 1: The body systems model focuses on abnormalities.
