Answer to Question 1

A

Feedback
A The first step in assisting a patient with meditation and breathing is to position the patient comfortably. The components of meditation are simple: a quiet space, comfortable position, receptive attitude, and focus of attention.
B A quiet space is required, not necessarily a warm environment.
C The first step is to have the patient assume a comfortable position in a quiet environment, not to close his or her eyes. Furthermore, the patient does not have to close his or her eyes to meditate and breathe.
D The first step is to assist the patient into a comfortable position, not to note areas of tension or pain.

Answer to Question 2

B
Children often have difficulties taking medication, but it is less traumatic for the child if the parent administers the medication. Holding down the child is not the best option because it may further upset the child. Never administer an oral medication to a sleeping child. Don't mix medications into the child's favorite foods, because the child might start to refuse the food.
