Answer to Question 1

A
Administration of a medication by the buccal route involves placing the solid medication in the mouth and against the mucous membranes of the cheek until the medication dissolves.
Crushing the medication is not necessary, as it is designed to dissolve in the client's cheek.
Clients are not to take any liquids with medications given by buccal administration or immedi-ately after.
The mouth is not sterile. Sterile technique is not necessary for buccal administration.

Answer to Question 2

B
Up to 75 of cancer survivors have serious physical and psychological health deficits that are related to their treatment. Survivors are at increased risk for both cancer (either a recurrence of the cancer for which they were treated, or a second cancer) and a wide range of treatment-related problems in the future.
While cancer itself affects the immediate health and wellness status of clients, it is secondary to the long-term effects of the cancer treatments used.
Some health effects are related to specific forms of cancer. However, this is not the best available option, since cancer is much less likely to be the cause of other lifelong health issues.
While genetic predisposition is a factor in cancer development, it is not the most likely factor affecting lifelong health issues in cancer survivors.
