Answer to Question 1

ANS: B
Bleeding near the pharynx can cause a life-threatening restriction of airflow.
Spontaneous bleeding occurs most often in the knee, followed by the elbow, ankle, shoulder, and hip. Joint bleeding causes swelling and, sometimes, intense pain. However, these patients would not be seen before a patient having trouble breathing.
A mild nosebleed would not be the first priority, given that another patient is having trouble breathing.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: A
Antifibrinolytic drugs (eg, aminocaproic acid and tranexamic acid) can be used as adjuncts to factors VIII and IX in special situations, such as a tooth extraction.
Acetaminophen is indicated for mild pain.
Desmopressin is used as replacement therapy but is not used specifically for tooth extractions.
Vitamin K is not indicated in this situation.
