Neuroleptic malignant syndrome is rare but serious. The primary symptoms are lead-pipe ri-gidity, sudden high fever, and confusion.
Tardive dyskinesia is manifested by involuntary twisting, writhing, and wormlike movements.
Acute dystonia is manifested by severe spasm of the muscles of the tongue, face, neck, and back. Other manifestations include oculogyric crisis and opisthotonus.
Parkinsonism is manifested by tremors, rigidity, shuffling gait, and a masklike face.
