A psychosis is a thought disorder, and schizophrenia is the most common psychosis in which delusions and hallucinations are hallmarks. Hallucinations can be auditory, visual, or sensory. Patients diagnosed with schizophrenia have difficulty functioning in society. Schizophrenic patients do not generally go into fugue states and it certainly is not a common disorder.
