Answer to Question 1

A
Feedback:
Procaine decreases the influx of sodium into the nerve cell and depresses depolarization to prevent conduction of the nerve impulse. It does not alter the function of nociceptors, opioid receptors, or anticholinesterase.

Answer to Question 2

D
Feedback:
Caffeine increases the effects of theophylline. Ritalin, Provigil, and Strattera are noted to have this effect.
